- Try not to
use local chemicals from the stores, as this might cause irreversible damage.
- If you spill a substance that stains your carpet, blot the substance immediately, and DO NOT rub as rubbing will will spread it around the carpet or rug and prevent it from coming out easily.
- Water damage to carpets and rugs can be cleaned and restored, but this needs to be done fairly soon after the damage occurs. Do not leave it, phone a professional !
- Chemicals can make Persian carpet colours run, make sure you get a professional to clean these expensive items.
