- Specialise in stain treatment
- Fresh stains make stain removal an easy task. Give yourself the upper hand by treating stains as promptly after they happen as possible. If your stains are on a non-washable fabric, take them to the dry cleaners as soon as possible. Be sure to point out the stain and describe the nature of the stain. This makes the likelihood of stain removal success greater.
- Pet odour and urine treatment
- Oops, the dog had an accident and the stain and smell refuse all attempts at removal. First try an enzyme product. Pour on enough to saturate to the pad and treat an area twice as large as the stain. Urine hits the pad and spreads. Let it set a couple of hours. You'll find enzyme products at pet stores or marine stores. They are used in the holding tanks to dissolve solid material.
- Wine stains
- To remove red wine from a tablecloth, cover the stain immediately with a mound of salt. Harvey Steiman, editor of Wine Spectator, writes, “Salt is our first response to a wine stain.” He further advises the use of white tablecloths at dinners where wine is served, “so [you] can bleach it to death.”
- All spills
- Be sure to attend to accidents as soon as they occur.
Blot the stain with an absorbent [white] cotton towel or paper towel and remove as much as possible. First test a small inconspicuous area to see the effects using cool water, warm water when directed, but never hot water. Use the least amount of liquid and do not saturate. You can place a towel on reverse side to protect the floor and drain out the stain. Blotting is the best practice to use in this scenario as it will only absorb and not spread the stain. Always work from the outside and then into the centre
- Colour run
- Colour runs can have a devastating effect on clothes. Luckily, Rescue Carpet knows the solution to your stain problems. Professionals at Rescue Carpet remove most colour runs and restore your clothes to their rightful shade. We use a specific coloursafe formula which means that coloured items and delicates like wool & silk can be treated together and fabrics are left beautifully clean with a fresh fragrance.
- Colour restoration
- Our professional color maintenance system restores luster and brightness to your carpet fibres while replacing lost color, with minimum time and inconvenience to you. No other cleaning system can compare to this system that does it all.
The process is very similar to the dyeing process used in modern carpet mills, and YES, the color in most carpets can be maintained to "look like new" for many, many years.
- We re-dye Persian and fine hand-made rugs but not fitted wall-to-wall carpets nor fabric. We do however restore wall-to-wall carpets and fabrics.
